Discover How To Balance And Improve Your Golf Swing-Part 1
November 30th, 2007 by adminEach and everyone of us aim to achieve this many times in our lives. What is it? Balance, or to be more exact, balance in our day-to-day lives. For example, balance while riding a bike. Maintaining our balance and staying on our feet when on our favourite skiing holiday. Or what about different kinds of balancing acts, such as, the aims of political leaders who are forever debating a balanced budget in high-powered corridors of government. Another one that is very close to all our hearts, balancing our own finances.
With regard to our favourite sporting pastime, balance is a term used in golf on a great many occasions as well. It is a buzzword and almost a cliche when it relates to the golf swing. I am certain you have learned on numerous occasions from golf swing coaches that you have to stay balanced when swinging your club. Other phrases that I very often hear when talking about golf, golf swing and balance include the following:
When it comes to a sand shot, dig your feet into the stand so you are able to stay balanced.
If the ball is on an ascending lie and above your feet, make certain you swing through the ball, and stayed balanced.
Stay balanced when hitting the driver and progress to the finishing position in perfect balance.
The list could go on and on, and I am certain all of you could in, all likelihood, add to the short list above.
Two questions always spring to mind when I hear the word balance in connection with golf:
1) What does balance precisely mean, and
2) How do I create balance in my golf swing?
It will come as no big surprise to me to find that rather a lot of of you have asked these very same questions, or similar ones, when you discuss the subject of balance in reference to the golf swing.
I will attempt to answer both of these questions in my next post. Stay tuned.
