Simple Golf Swing Tips

September 29th, 2007 by admin

So, you think that your golf swing requires some improvement and you are completely aware of it? We have already covered some (hopefully useful) golf swing tips on this site. Here are some further tips in making your golf swing even better.

The first tip:-an outstanding golf swing does not mean you have to swing with your arms.

Put your golf club behind your back while you turn your back to your target. The required action involves taking your club backwards as you hinge your arm at your shoulder.

You could also practice this exercise using "no arms".

The second tip:-You should not forget to cock your wrists. This may be difficult initially, but it will become very natural to you with sufficient practice.

Thirdly:-You should allow the left arm to move clockwise slightly when you begin the back swing. It is not really something that you would be expected to actually remember. It happens naturally if you would just allow it. This just means that you should not resist this motion as it is just so natural. You may not notice it, but you may have been resisting this motion because this makes the head of your golf club to open up slightly when you swing it. Just let it happen.

Fourth tip:-Place your feet firmly on the ground. You may have imitated this from the game of baseball. That is, letting your heel of your front foot to come above the ground when you swing your golf club backwards. Some people believe that by doing this, their back swing feels more expansive.

It sometimes appears that lifting the front heel can easily make the body coil and for the tension to build more intensely. Allowing the foot to roll freely to the inside is not a problem however. All the same, one should always aim to keep that foot on the ground to make the golf back swing well-anchored.

Fifth tip:-From the bottom golf down swing.

Let us assume that you manage all the motions and stances correctly-to be more specific-from your golf stance, the golf grip you have adapted, and your golf back swing. However, even if you feel you have expertly accomplished these aspects, you can still ruin everything if you begin your golf swing with the shoulders. You may prefer to use a swing trigger to commence the golf down swing that you have with the lower part of your body.

Last but not least, the sixth tip:-Again, concentrating on your golf down swing. You should turn the belt buckle towards your intended target.

Try turning your hips as powerfully and as fast as you possibly can when you carry out your golf down swing, it does actually work.
